muddy walk reminders

Sometimes, even when the weather is still forecasting snow there are a few beautiful mild end of winter days worthy of getting me out of the house to brave the cold. That was the case this past weekend when I took my sweet pea dog wrigley-girl for a good muddy walk at the Conservation area near my house. The best part is the way she reminds me to enjoy the early thaw of the water, the sucking sounds of the boots against the thick mud, the shaggy tipped grasses that look like birds perched on tall reeds, and always the way the light...that beautiful light hits the land.

All good reminders to get out for a good walk in nature...all making for fun image making moments.
